Great Blog and story, Specially the ne about running out of Michaels. Recently my 2year old abd I went grocery shopping and a lady in the store looked like mommy - She completely had a nervous break down and wanted to walk down all the isles of the store to look for mom. We had to leave the cart some where at the store and after realizing we had to go - We took off to the car.

She was fine once in the cart but what an Emberrassment- I was waiting for security to ask me if it was my daughter.

I think the reason there's a weight requirement for needing to be in a car seat is they figure, any bigger and the mother will never be able to force the kid into it.

My youngest (she's almost 4) refused to get into her car seat last summer at church. It got ugly. That's all I'll say!

i am so sorry... but you are right. we've all had them. When my daughter was younger, I remember many public moments.
