Love Them or Hate Them?
These darn car carts at the supermarket.
At first I loved them because they made my shopping experience quite enjoyable.
1. She leaves me alone because she is too busy steering and beeping the horn. And by leave me alone, I mean she is too low to see the Finding Nemo fruit snacks, so I don't hear her scream "NEMO! MOMMY I WANT NEMO!"
2. She is two feet in front of me and it was like she isn't even there...except when she turns around to yell "Mommy, can you hear me? I drive'n!"
And now I hate them. Because she now wants them in every.single.store. "Mommy, can I drive?" Yeah, well they don't have them in all stores. And some stores only have two. So God forbid we don't get one and while we're shopping she sees another child in one - she has cart envy in the form of an all out tantrum.
But we'll pull up to the deli or Hallmark and she'll want to look for a cart. Have you tried to explain to a 2-1/2 year old that you don't exactly need a gynormous cart with a big plastic red car attached to buy a birthday card for her grandmother?
She doesn't exactly get it. She would prefer every store cater to her need to "drive'n".
I would prefer in-store baby-sitting and a martini bar.

Dear God. One day I had Ace & M@ya and they fooled me into using one of these at Wegmans. Wegmans has a double version! This was before I worked out and pushing that thing around was absolutely horrendous. I could not make a turn, I was banging into everyone and everything. Hate 'em!
How funny, also a good thing about these is they have a double seater, so for me when my twins get older I know it will be great. Except when their aren't any, ugh.
I read your blog regularly and LOVE it. I have tagged you for a post. Its up on my blog so please do check out. Will be wonderful to read your take on it.
I LOVED those carts when I didn't have a newborn, just Henry. Now having a toddler and a newborn I hate them. They aren't as sturdy as regular carts so putting an infant carrier in it is a little more concerning :(
