Vote!

I do not typically discuss politics here. Mainly because if you disagree with me, I'm like an 8 year old and I am bound to say something like "yeah...well you have a big nose!"

But voting is very important and it is our responsibility as Americans to be a part of the process. But I beg you, please don't vote if you have no clue which guy stands for what and you're just voting because you don't want the (whisper) "black guy to win" Or because you don't like that Sarah Palin may have spent $150k on clothes. Vote because you've been paying attention.

I will say this - have you been watching the voting process? Why does it seem like it is 1972 in some states? Why do we not have a universal voting system that is the same everywhere and foolproof (no pun intended)? It worries me that people are waiting hours on line; I was in and out in 10 minutes. It worries me that some people are touching a screen, some are punching a little hole in a card, some are checking a box and some are pulling a little plastic lever-thingy.

I pray for a smooth night and that we don't have a repeat of 2000...and 2004.

Oh, and I pray that my guy wins!

Hopefully, your prayer was answered? Yeah, it would be nice to see us standardize on a fair, repeatable, standardized election system. Here in Oregon we vote by mail, and I'm quite spoiled by it.
